Okuyo Privacy Policy

Okuyo is a reading and learning app for children. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data we collect

Account info: email, child nickname, age range (when signed in).
Learning progress: completed letters/syllables/words/stories, screen time, game scores — used to show progress and parent reports.
Device info: device type, OS version, language, crash and error logs (anonymized via Sentry).
Purchases: subscription state via RevenueCat (Apple ID / Google Play ID; we never store payment details).
Anonymous usage: which screens are opened, which features are used (PostHog, EU region).

2. Commitments for children

No ads. No third-party advertising trackers.
No personal data is collected from child profiles; learning progress is held under the parent/adult account.
Child profile names are in-app nicknames; we do not request real identity.
We follow KVKK and COPPA principles for users under 13.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share only with these service providers, as needed:

Supabase — account and progress storage (EU servers)
RevenueCat — subscription management
Sentry — crash reports (anonymized)
PostHog — anonymous usage analytics (EU region)
Resend — transactional email
Apple / Google — push delivery and payments

4. How we protect data

All transport uses HTTPS. Server-side data is protected by Supabase Row Level Security — you can only access your own data.

5. Your rights

Under KVKK and GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, and object to processing of your data. In-app: Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your account and related data. Questions: [email protected]
